Delegate: Ms. Skullerud

52. Ms. Skullerud (Norway), speaking as a youth delegate, urged Member States to adopt sustainable solutions for ensuring meaningful youth participation in local, national and international forums, possibly including a permanent forum on youth. She enjoined their commitment to provide access to quality healthcare for children and young people, with greater emphasis on addressing mental health disorders, which were the leading cause of disability among youth and often the result of human rights violations. In closing, she called on Member States to find long-term solutions to ensure meaningful participation by young people in forums, provide quality health services forc hildren and youth, and act boldly against all violations of human rights, but especially those of children and young persons.
